Accidents and DWI Arrests Top Police Blotter

Michael Sweedy, 55 of Newfoundland was found to be operating his ATV on Bigelow Road without a helmet on April 2. Officer Stokes conducted a motor vehicle stop and determined Sweedy was under the influence of alcohol. Sweedy was arrested and processed for Driving While Intoxicated. He was issued summons and a pending a court date.

John Payne 32, of Oak Ridge was observed operating a motor vehicle on Rt 15 North at Berkshire Valley Road and driving erratically on April 3. Officer Stokes determined Payne was possibly under the influence of controlled dangerous substance. Payne was arrested and processed for Driving While Intoxicated. He was issued summons and a pending court date.

Jeremy Standish, 68, of Oak Ridge was involved in a motor vehicle crash along Berkshire Valley Road near Gem Road, striking a tree on April 8. Officer McGowan determined Standish was under the influence of alcohol and placed Standish under arrest. He was processed and issued summons for Driving While Intoxicated pending a court date.

Jenna Terhune, 25, of Newton was involved in a motor vehicle crash on Route 15 North, striking a guard rail on April 9. Officer Stokes determined Terhune was under the influence of alcohol. She was placed under arrest and processed for Driving While Intoxicated. She was issued motor vehicle summons and released pending a court date.

During a motor vehicle stop on April 11, PO Stokes determined that Mihael Hayden, 28, of Hamburg was under the influence of alcohol. Hayden was placed under arrest and processed for Driving While Intoxicated. He was issued summons and released pending a court date.

Robert Loyola, 67, of Wantage was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on April 12. During the stop, an investigation lead to Loyola being arrested for possession of marijuana. He was placed under arrest, processed and released pending a court date.

Sean Lally, 59, of Lake Hopatcong was arrested at the scene of a motor vehicle stop on April 15 for driving while intoxicated. He was processed, issued motor vehicle summons and released pending a court date.

Emilio Lopez, 29, of Lake Hopatcong, was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on April 15 for possession of marijuana. Lopez was processed, issued summon and a pending court date.
