The Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club’s annual Fourth of July fireworks display has been a tradition for over 70 years. The event, funded by the members’ dues, brings spectators by land and by water.

As the sun started to set there was a steady stream of boats passing under the Brady Bridge to claim their viewing locations. Jefferson Township Police closed the bridge to traffic to allow spectators to fill the bridge and enjoy the fireworks display.

Lasting nearly 30 minutes, the fireworks feature all shapes, colors and types of bursts. It was the perfect start to the holiday weekend.
