Several of the area’s most popular praise bands will perform in a free concert titled “#OneGathering” on Saturday, August 18. The event will take place from 3-8 p.m. at Grace Church (5550 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge).

Already confirmed to play at the event are Spirit, the Lord’s Chords, the Seraph Project, and the Grace Band. Additional bands may also perform. #OneGathering marks the third annual praise band concert in the Oak Ridge area.

The first concert was a small performance at the Jefferson Township gazebo in 2016. In 2017, the event was titled “An Evening of Inspirational Music under the Stars” and held on the grounds of Freedom Church on Oak Ridge Road. It featured three bands as well as a food truck from Uncle Bob’s BBQ Pit and Grille.

Buoyed by strong attendance and an overwhelmingly positive response from the audience and community at large, the area churches that coordinated last year’s concert have gone all-out to create an inspirational evening for the entire family. The 2018 concert will include even more praise bands and more food truck offerings.

People are invited to bring blankets, lawn chairs, or anything else to make them comfortable. Attendees may bring their own food and drink, but are requested to not bring alcohol. While admission to #OneGathering is free, any donations to help local food pantries are welcome. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will take place inside Grace Church’s comfortable sanctuary.
