A seasonal bowling program for Jefferson Township students in kindergarten (5-year-olds) through 12th grade is being sponsored by the Jefferson Township Recreation Department in partnership with Sparta Lanes.

Join the team at 83 Woodport Road in Sparta every Thursday at 4:30 p.m. from September 27 through November 15. Note: This fun-filled eight-week program includes November 8, when schools are closed for the NJEA teachers’ convention.

Each student will be given a Jefferson bowling team T-shirt to wear while playing two games a week. Staff will be available for questions and the pro shop will be open for any participant needing assistance with equipment.

The program cost per bowler is $56 (without meals) or $80 with the meal option ($3 extra per week). Each week’s meal will include a hot dog or chicken nuggets with a small drink.

Participants can choose two people with whom they would like to bowl each week. Partners must file their own registrations and agree on whether or not to use bowling bumpers. Bowlers must be registered and the activity fee paid in full before attending the first session on September 27.

Registration must be completed online through Community Pass. Visit https://register.communitypass.net/reg/index.cfm and follow the prompts to enter or set up an account through the Jefferson Township community and choose the “Summer-Fall 2018” season. Then select either “Bowling at Sparta Lanes – No Food Option” or “Bowling with Meals at Sparta Lanes.” Full payment can be made at checkout by credit card, subject to a bank convenience fee, or choose Send Payment to deliver a check, cash, or money order to the Recreation Department office (Camp Jefferson, 81 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong) within three business days. Checks (no cash) can also be mailed to the office, postmarked the day of registration or the next business day. If full payment is not received in the office within three business days of registration, tickets may be sold to other customers.
