The Jefferson Township Community Band and Jazz Band will open the 2018 free summer concert series on Friday evening, June 29. The musicians will perform at 7 p.m. in the beautiful Victorian gazebo at the township municipal complex (1033 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong).

The Community Band will present a repertoire of popular favorites including the classics, Broadway musicals, standard marches, and patriotic salutes. The talented local musicians are directed by Peter Tummillo. The energizing Jazz Band ensemble is also directed by Tummillo.

Attendees are asked to bring a blanket or chair for their comfort. Non-alcoholic beverages, picnic dinners, and snacks are permitted on the grounds unless the concert is moved indoors due to weather conditions. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the Jefferson Township High School auditorium (1010 Weldon Road). For information and updates, visit or or call 973-697-2032 or 973-697-3828.

Wind down for the weekend with great music. Dancing and singing along are encouraged at all summer concerts.
