Christmas in the Village, the township’s annual holiday festival, is coming up December 6-8, 2019. Here’s your handy dandy guide to dates, times, and places for every event:

Friday, December 6

6:30 p.m.

Milton United Methodist Church: Jefferson Arts Committee Gingerbread House Contest entries accepted for judging. Entry forms at http://www.jeffersonarts.org/forms.html

7p.m.

Jefferson Twp Gazebo: Lighting of the township tree and municipal complex trees with Mayor Eric Wilsusen; Council President Debi Merz reads “The Night Before Christmas”; Santa arrives with Rudolph via Fire Company No. 1 fire truck and sled; live entertainment by Jefferson Township Middle School Chorus – Director Danielle Schreck; Holiday Sing-a-long; DJ Matt Scognamiglio; complimentary refreshments by Casa Bianca Banquets and Catering and Jefferson Township Recreation follow

Saturday, December 7

7 11 a.m.

Milton First Aid Squad: ‘Breakfast with Olaf ’ featuring a hearty breakfast of pancakes and more—Pay at door (open seating); accepting donations for The New Hope Food Pantry (monetary and non-perishable food), a gift for the kids!

10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Camp Jefferson: Fireside visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus in the Community Lodge; holiday music; gifts from Santa; kids’ coloring activities; Letters to Santa; candy canes; model train display in the train cabin; (Santa & Mrs. Claus out to lunch 12:30 -1 pm)

10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Jeff Township Fire Co. No. 1: Village Marketplace featuring 18 home business vendors and crafters; 50/50 raffle sales site; live entertainment, free Children’s Grab bag while supplies last.

Jefferson Township Museum: “A Christmas Carol” theme Museum-each room decorated by the Museum Garden Club; Costumed docent-led tours by Jefferson Township Historical Society members, Mrs. Claus on site with photo-ops on the Museum’s Vintage Sleigh.

Jefferson Senior Center: Jefferson Community Players perform the radio play “A Christmas Carol” by Anthony Palermo based on the novel by Charles Dickens. Directed by Sue Wright, George Fear will portray Scrooge, and the show will include live sound effects led by Anthony Ur. Admission is free.
