Remember the 1940s? Or just love Big Band music? Step back into that exciting era on Sunday, May 5.

The seventh annual Big Band Bash, sponsored by the Jefferson Arts Committee, takes place from 4:00-7:30 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church (5635 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge). Doors open at 3:00.

The Big Band Bash includes a full catered dinner (BYOB), dancing, and music by the Jefferson Township Community Jazz Band. The band is directed by Pete Tummillo with vocals by Nancy Koch.

Clothing reflecting the 1940s is encouraged, and a contest will be held for “best outfit.”

All ages are welcome. Reservations are required in advance. To purchase tickets ($23) and obtain additional information, contact Janet at 973-697-8124 or jbreck@optonline.net.
