Workshop Will Confront Stereotyping, Offer Solutions

Tackling some of human nature’s most divisive traits — prejudice, bias and stereotyping — Rockaway’s Women in Unity (WIU), partnering with the Parsippany Library, will present a workshop geared to confront these traits and offer solutions to help bridge the gaps among us they often create.

A panel of individuals who are often targets of prejudice and stereotyping will explain the damaging impact and lasting effects of these harmful behaviors by others. The panel will be followed up with a presentation by inclusion expert Debbie Almontaser, Ph.D, who will address confronting and overcoming personal biases. She will also offer successful methods of helping others to do the same.

The workshop will include sharing during a question and answer session. Light refreshments and desserts will be available.

    Registration at https://tinyurl.com/WIUbridges is required.
