Young Jefferson Falcons and their families swooped into a Sussex County Miners baseball game on Sunday, July 22, at Skylands Stadium. This was the second annual visit by athletes in Jefferson’s youth leagues to the professional independent league baseball game.

The local athletes, ages 8-15, were dressed in Falcon attire representing the various sports they play and the town they love. The Miners put on a great show as they swept the New Jersey Jackals in a doubleheader.

Miners manager Bobby Jones and his team did not disappoint, making Jefferson feel welcome and appreciated. Players took the time to sign balls, talk to the kids, and toss balls between innings.
