Fusion Core, an award-winning drum corps based in Lake Hopatcong, is hosting its first ever home competition on Saturday, August 11, at Jefferson Township High School (1010 Weldon Road, Oak Ridge).

Titled “Eat to the Beat,” the event will feature a pre-show food fair from 5-7 p.m. Performances by eight drum corps from around the tri-state area will follow from 7-9:30. There will also be a performance by the Jefferson Township Jazz Band.

Fusion Core’s high-energy 2018 show, “When I Grow Up…”, will transport audience members back to the whimsical and imaginative time of childhood. Fusion will be joined in competition by several other members of the Drum Corps Associates (DCA), including the New York Skyliners, the White Sabers, and the Connecticut Hurricanes.

Fusion Core is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to education in the visual and performing arts. Under the direction of Holly Marino, Fusion Core has performed in the DCA circuit since its inception in 2007.
