Golf lessons are offered this spring by the Jefferson Township Recreation Department at Bowling Green Golf Club (53 School House Road, Oak Ridge). Students age 6 through adult can take Beginner Level I Basics and Intermediate Level II Intro to Playing with head golf professional Derek Bishop. Classes are limited to 10 golfers; clubs will be provided if needed.

  • Beginner Junior: Sundays, April 28-June 9 (except May 12), 3 p.m. for ages 6-9, 4 p.m. for ages 10-14. Six 30-minute sessions for $70.
  • Beginner Adult: Saturdays, April 20-May 25, 4 p.m. for ages 15-adult. Six 45-minute sessions for $100.
  • Intermediate Junior: Tuesdays, April 23-May 28, 5 p.m. for ages 7-14. Six 30-minute sessions for $70.
  • Intermediate Adult: Saturdays, April 20-May 25, 5 p.m. for ages 15-adult. Six 45-minute sessions for $100.

Registration must be completed online through Community Pass. Visit and follow the prompts to enter or set up an account through the Jefferson Township community. Choose the “2019 Spring Golf Lessons” season.

Full payment can be made at checkout by credit card, subject to a bank convenience fee, or choose Send Payment to deliver a check, cash, or money order to the Recreation Department office (Camp Jefferson, 81 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong) within three business days. Checks (no cash) can also be mailed to the office, postmarked the day of registration or the next business day. If full payment is not received in the office within three business days, registration may be canceled.
