If you want to play golf and support veterans, two Jefferson Township High School students have an idea for you.

Michael Sullivan and CJ White, students in Jefferson Township High School history teacher Jon Boyle’s Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights class, chose to support veteran suicide awareness.  For the final project, students were asked to become an activist for a cause they care about.

Sullivan and White teamed up with Mission 22 and Berkshire Valley Golf Course to run a charity golf tournament to raise money for veteran suicide awareness and prevention in the United States.

The event takes place on July 25 at Berkshire Valley Golf Course. For $120 per player, golfers receive a continental breakfast, grille lunch, range balls, and cart fees. There will be prizes for the longest drive, drive closest to the pin, and a 50/50 raffle. Registration begins at 7 a.m., with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.

Sponsorships for the event are also available with the following fees: cart sponsor, $25 each; hole sponsor, $50 each; continental breakfast, $1,500; grille lunch, $2,500.
