A free program titled “How’s Your Mental Health?” will be held at the library on Monday, May 21, from 4-5 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Jefferson Township Health Department and JTConnect.

“The stresses of everyday life take a toll on all of us,” explained health officer Peter Tabbot. “As we age, we face even more new physical and emotional challenges every day.”

The program will address coping with all the changes by learning what stressors can trigger a mental health issue and what community resources are available to help achieve optimum mental wellness.

The speaker, Lucille H. Deutsch, CALA, CMC, is a certified geriatric care manager with LHD Eldercare Solutions and a consultant with the Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris.

Register for the free program by calling the Jefferson Township Public Library at 973-208-6244.
