Welcome to my first “Ink-spirations” art post. I will be posting original artwork and images that I have created along with inspirational, motivational, and positive thoughts. Join me on this creative journey of warmth, wisdom, and wit.

For me, one of the amazing things about art is the power of connection — connection to our inner selves, to each other, and the world we live in.

My drawing for this week is titled “Got Heart?”. (I promise I won’t milk that title too much. Sorry, couldn’t resist. Ha.)

With all the chaos we each encounter in our daily grind, we sometimes become insensitive to the people around us and speak or take action without thinking.

This illustration is a reminder to stop and think before speaking/taking action. We don’t always know the full story of the other person’s situation. Our actions have consequences. Isn’t it better to aim for a positive connections than a negative ones?

Let’s continue to join together as a community of kindness and compassion – as illustrated most recently by the amazing support of people coming together to aid the Graham family in their time of need. Jefferson Township truly does “Got Heart”.

Peace and Live Creatively!
