The annual town-wide volunteer spring cleanup day will be held on Saturday, April 28, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will help pick up litter and trash along roads, in parks, on trails, and on athletic fields. Interested residents may call Patty Romano at 973-208-3639 to register.

A light breakfast will be available at the Department of Public Works offices prior to the cleanup. Supplies (bags, gloves, and safety vests) will be provided to all volunteers for use during the cleanup.

Prospective volunteers who are unable to participate that day, but willing to help clean up some of Jefferson’s roads or wooded areas that are littered with water bottles and trash, may notify Romano so that arrangements can be made for an alternate day. The participation and support of residents and community groups in the town-wide event is appreciated.
