The Jefferson Township Museum, also known as the George Chamberlain House, will have an open house on Sunday, July 8, from 1-4 p.m. Admission is free. Costumed docents will be available to talk about this Victorian home.
The feature for July is a display of antique and vintage dolls, games, and toys on loan from a private collection. Discover how children played and learned through these items. The display includes every room of the home.
The museum, located at 315 Dover-Milton Road, was entered into the National and State Registers of Historic Places in 2010.
Guests are invited to visit Miss Elizabeth’s Shoppe in the original kitchen of the house. The Shoppe is packed with new and vintage items for sale. Even visitors who have been in the Shoppe recently may find something special to add to their homes.
