The Jefferson Township Museum, also known as the George Chamberlain House, will have an open house on Sunday, September 9, from 1-4 p.m. Admission is free. Costumed docents will be available to talk about this Victorian home.

The special exhibit for September, “Time for a Shave,” will feature a display and demonstration of shaving implements and accessories used in the Victorian Era. A visit to the museum’s lovely gardens will add to your visit.

The museum, located at 315 Dover-Milton Road, was entered into the National and State Registers of Historic Places in 2010.

Guests are invited to visit Miss Elizabeth’s Shoppe in the original kitchen of the house. The Shoppe is packed with new and vintage items for sale. Even visitors who have been in the Shoppe recently may find something special to add to their homes.
