The Jefferson Township Museum (315 Dover-Milton Road) will have an open house on Sunday, April 7, from 1-4 p.m. Admission is free. The building has been freshly painted, featuring new room colors and a new look.

The museum, also known as the George Chamberlain House, was entered into the National and State Registers of Historic Places in 2010. Costumed docents will be available to talk about this Victorian home.

Guests are invited to visit Miss Elizabeth’s Shoppe in the original kitchen of the house. The Shoppe is packed with new and vintage items for sale – perfect for spring or any time. Visitors may also be lucky enough to see some early flowers poking through in the museum’s lovely gardens.

For further information, visit the Jefferson Township Historical Society website at www.jthistoricalsociety.org or call president Christine Williams at 973-697-0258.
