The following is a “Letter to the Editor” from the Junior Woman’s Club of Jefferson Township:

It’s with much gratitude that we write this letter to you. On behalf of the Junior Woman’s Club of Jefferson Township, we would like to thank everyone who participated in our annual Wish Tree and Toy Giveaway. Through the generosity of local citizens, the participation of area businesses and organizations, and service hours by our volunteers, the Junior Woman’s Club was able to donate hundreds of toys and gifts to Jefferson Township families in need this holiday season. Thank you to each citizen that donated a toy or gift this year and helped make a child’s Christmas wish come true! Many thanks to Black Bear Fitness, Little Learner Academy, the Jefferson Township Municipal Building, the Jefferson Township Recreational Department, Oak Ridge Martial Arts Academy, Dunkin’ Donuts, Quality Time Child Care Center, Country Day School and Jimmy Geez North for hosting our Wish Trees. A very special thank you to the Jefferson Township High School FBLA and DECA clubs who collected thousands of dollars of toys and gift cards for our local families. Thank you to Greta Melofchik – Weichert Realtors, Our Lady Star of the Sea, Hurdtown Methodist Church, Jefferson Township Middle School, Berkeley Surety, Mack Cali of Parsippany, the Punkett, Dikun and DePasquale Families and all our other donors for your generous donations. We appreciate your continued support. Thank you to Grace Rhinesmith and the Jefferson Township Recreation Department for helping to coordinate and support this event. We couldn’t have done it without you! It has been a joy to witness the enormous generosity of our town. We hope you had a Merry Christmas. We wish Jefferson Township a healthy, prosperous, and Happy New Year.
