The Knee Deep Club held its 22nd Annual Leo August Memorial awards breakfast at the Windlass Restaurant. It was a windy but sunny morning in March, pre-pandemic–perfect to put the fishermen at ease about being inside and not outside fishing.

The annual breakfast was created in memory of past club president Leo August, who willed funds to the club to honor each year’s three most outstanding catches by Knee Deep Club members. Attending the breakfast were Kneed Deep Club Trustees as well as Annual Yearlong Contest Winners, and guests of the club.

Club Presiden, Mike Truglio presented awards.  Additional awards included the Helen August Hybrid Striped Bass Contest, the William G. Clark Youth Fishing Award, and King and Prince of the Lake awards.
