The Knee Deep Club will hold its spring Lake Hopatcong Walleye Weekend on May 18 and 19. The contest begins at 5 a.m. on Saturday and concludes at noon on Sunday.

The entry fee is $20 for club members and $25 for non-members. Cash prizes will be based on an 80% payout of entry fees for those weighing in the three heaviest walleye. Anglers catching the 4th, 5th, and 6th heaviest walleye will receive a $20 gift certificate.

Take a kid fishing! Any contestant may enter a child under age 16 for $5.

Entry forms are available at the club’s official weigh stations: Dow’s Boat Rental (Nolan’s Point) and Lake’s End Marina (Landing). They are also online at www.kneedeepclub.org.

Mail-in entries must be received by Friday, May 17. In-person entries can be delivered until 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 18. A complete list of contest rules is included on the entry form.

In the 2018 contest, a 5 lb. 7 oz. walleye took first place; the club record is 10 lb. 11 oz. For additional information on the contest, the club, and fishing on Lake Hopatcong, visit the website or call 973-663-3826.
