To the Editor:

The Junior Woman’s Club of Jefferson Township began planning the 20th annual Wrobo Run/Walk months in advance. After many letters mailed, emails sent, and phone calls made, October 7 has now come and gone. With many hands helping in the event, as well as sponsors and sources in our community, the day was a huge success.

We would like to thank all our sponsors for their generosity: iHeart Radio; Climate Care; Eastern Propane; Michael J. Ilardi, DMD; Milton Inn; Milton Garage; Congressman Rodney P. Frelinghuysen; Studnick and Associates; Beergarden at Bowling Green Golf; Buccieri’s Gems and Jewelry; Canine Cuts; Clip Shoppe School of Dog Grooming; Coppola Services; Jefferson Township Fire Company No. 2; Jefferson Township Policemen’s Benevolent Association No. 190; Jimmy Geez North Sports Bar and Grill; John and Jane DeHart; Map Engineering; Milton Terry Associates; Quality Time Childcare; Total Wellness of New Jersey; Shoebox Storage; and Jefferson Township Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to our generous sponsors, this amazing day would not run smoothly without the volunteers of our community. The Junior Woman’s Club thanks the following: Jefferson Township Police Department for keeping our streets safe; Milton First Aid Squad for following our last runners to safety; Jefferson Township Fire Companies 1 and 2 for hanging the beautiful (and very large) American flag at our start line; Milton Dunkin’ Donuts for the donation of coffee; Brownie Troops 1031 and 983 for assisting in water distribution; members of the Jefferson Township High School cross country team for being our “runners”; and Gia and Bella LaMonica for their beautiful rendition of our national anthem as well as our honor guard to assist Mrs. Wroblewski in the start gunshot.

We also cannot forget the thank all of our runners for participating in this year’s 20th annual Wrobo Run/Walk. Last, but not least, we must thank the Wroblewski family for honoring the Juniors by allowing us to use JT’s name and continue to remember his, and the family’s, ultimate sacrifice for our country.

With your support and generosity, this year the Junior Woman’s Club of Jefferson Township raised a total of $4,923.00. Of that amount, $3,938.40 will be distributed to this year’s charitable recipient (Blue Star Mothers of Northern New Jersey–NJ6) and $984.60 will be given in June 2019 to Jefferson Township High School to be awarded to deserving seniors as scholarships.
