Join the Jefferson Arts Committee (JAC) for a luncheon matinee of the new interactive musical mystery theater production Take Me Away at the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse in Hampton. The performance features Don Amorosi as Sherlock Holmes and Mari Green as Countess Maximova.

The bus trip takes place on Wednesday, March 27. Lively street performers greet arrivals and set the scene for a unique, immersive dinner theater experience with a live orchestra. Guests feel as if they are on the bustling streets of Covent Garden, London.

Tickets at $86 per person include round-trip motor coach transportation from the parking lot of St. Thomas the Apostle Church (5635 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge) promptly at 9:45. Table-served lunch entrées offer a choice of Yankee pot roast, fried jumbo shrimp platter, lemon pepper cod, Santa Fe chicken, roast turkey with stuffing, eggplant rollatini, or roasted vegetable kabob (gluten free). The meal also includes salad, potato, rolls and butter, dessert buffet, coffee, tea, tax, and gratuity. A cash bar, bakery, and retail clothing/jewelry store are available on site.

The show begins at 1:00. Guests will be joined by world-famous sleuth Sherlock Holmes and his trusted mate, Dr. Watson, on a hilarious musical quest to solve one of his most baffling adventures: the mystery of love. A mind reader, mysterious countess, and magician are some of the suspects in this musical farce. Backed by a live orchestra, a cast of talented actors will sing and dance throughout the lively comedy. Audience members may find they hold the clues to solving the mystery right on their own dining room tables.

Reservations must be made by February 24 for guaranteed seating, although tickets may be available up to the performance date. Forms can be found on the JAC website ( and its Facebook page. Worried about winter weather? Hunterdon Hills Playhouse has a no-risk winter policy; if the JAC and bus company determine that weather in Jefferson makes travel unsafe, the JAC will receive full credit for another performance date.
