Join the Jefferson Arts Committee for a bus trip to the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse in Hampton for a luncheon matinee of the musical comedy Nunsense. The show on Wednesday, August 8, stars Joyce DeWitt, the football-wearing brunette roommate Janet Wood on the classic television sitcom Three’s Company.

Tickets are $82 per person, including round-trip bus transportation departing from St. Thomas the Apostle Church (5635 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge) promptly at 9:45 a.m.

The luncheon offers an entrée (choice of Yankee pot roast, fried jumbo shrimp platter, lemon pepper cod, chicken parmigiana, roast turkey with stuffing, eggplant rollatini, or gluten-free roasted vegetable kabob), salad, potato, rolls and butter, dessert buffet, and coffee/tea. Tax and gratuity are included. A cash bar, bakery, and retail clothing/jewelry store are available on site.

The show, which starts at 1:00, is the winner of four Outer Critics Circle awards including Best Off-Broadway Musical. Nunsense is a musical comedy filled with fun and frolic featuring amusing songs, tap and ballet dancing, an audience quiz, and comic surprises. The Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of the nuns. In dire need of funds for the burials, the remaining delightfully wacky sisters decide the best way to raise the money is to put on a variety show.
