A Mount Arlington resident is accused of driving drunk and fleeing the scene, according to the Jefferson Township Police Department.

Bonnie Biville, 21, of Mount Arlington was arrested by Officer Ryan McGowan for driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, endangering an injured victim and assault by auto. She was transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court hearing.

At 8:43 a.m. Officer McGowan responded to a report of a struck pedestrian on Minnisink Road. Upon arrival at the reported scene, Officer McGowan located a pedestrian who had suffered a head injury from being struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital and currently is in stable condition.

Officer McGowan’s investigation revealed Biville was operating a 2014 Jeep on Minnisink Road and struck another motor vehicle, continued on Minnisink Road, then striking a pedestrian, who was walking on the side of the road, police said.

With the assistance of the Mount Arlington Police Department, the vehicle and its operator, Biville, were located and subsequently arrested.
