Snowy weather didn’t stop Jefferson Township Fire Department Company #1 from celebrating at its annual Installation Dinner from taking place. Casa Bianca’s banquet hall was filled with family, friends, and visiting guests to honor and celebrate the new officers of Company 1 as well as recognize members of the Company.

The festive evening started with outgoing Chief Vinny Corsaro introducing new Chief Raymond Cabrera, Sr. and the new Chief thanking the outgoing Chief for his service. The program moved along quickly and included the swearing-in of the new Line Officers by Mayor Eric Wilsusen, as well as recognition of milestones in the Department – including Lynne Valenza receiving her Lifetime Membership to the Relief Association and Gerry Brown’s 40 years of service. Mayor Wilsusen read a Proclamation to recognize Gerry Brown’s service.

Other notable moments of the evening were the presentation of the new Administrative officers. The Ladies Auxiliary presented their gift of having the truck numbers to be painted on the newly painted firehouse and the recognition of Connor Kraljevich’s service with the Marines and his recent return from Afghanistan.
