Jefferson Recreation has announced its Parade for Heroes featuring vintage cars has been postponed to its rain date of May 16, due to inclement weather predictions for this weekend.

The parades will honor healthcare employees, essential workers, and first responders for their efforts in saving lives and fighting the coronavirus pandemic. Proceeds from the event will go to the Junior Woman’s Club of Jefferson Township to help support the Power Up Program which provides Healthcare workers with much needed personal supplies and power bars.

The township will be divided into four quadrants. Each parade will last approximately two hours. There will be one set of parades running simultaneously on each side of town from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and another set of parades running simultaneously in the afternoon from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

If you would like to register your vintage car to be in the parade contact Anthony Muzikar at cowboyfromhellboy@gmail.com. The fee to register a car is $10.
