4/28/18, CDS (PO Paskas): Eder Rivera III, 23, of Lake Hopatcong was arrested at his residence for smoking marijuana on his front porch. He was processed and released on a summons, pending a court appearance.

5/15/18, Shed Fire (PO Paskas): The officer responding to a shed fire call on McNabb Avenue single-handedly extinguished the fire utilizing two patrol extinguishers. He saved the structure and there were no injuries. The fire was caused by fallen electrical lines.

5/28/18, DWI/CDS (PO Saparito): Amanda Rose, 29, of Oak Ridge was stopped for erratic driving. Further investigation led to Rose’s arrest. She was processed for driving while intoxicated, possession of a hypodermic needle, and possession of drug paraphernalia, pending a court appearance.

6/7/18, DWI/Hit and Run (PO Quidort): Joseph Vernieri, 26, of Lake Hopatcong was operating a motor vehicle on Schoolhouse Road when he struck another vehicle and fled the scene. He was located and arrested for driving while intoxicated. Vernieri was processed and issued several summonses, pending a court appearance.

6/11/18, Motor Vehicle Crash/Tree on Vehicle (PO Wojtach): Margaret Laurillad, 63, of Randolph was traveling on Berkshire Valley Road between Taylor Road and Solar Road when a very large tree fell on top of her vehicle, trapping her inside. The driver was freed from vehicle and sustained minor injury. The road was closed for several hours because the tree also damaged utility poles and wires.
