The Recycling Yard will reopen next week beginning on Wednesday, May 13. As a reminder, on Wednesdays residents can only drop off single-stream recycling (bottles, cans, plastics, (NO PLASTIC BAGS), cardboard, newspaper and junk mail), metal, tires ($4.00/tire no rim – $7.00/tire w rim – payable by check) electronics, and brush only (NO TREE STUMPS, LOGS OR BAGS OF LEAVES/GRASS). Leaves and/or grass should be placed curbside for pick up on Wednesday by our trash contractor. Wednesday recycling hours are 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Brush may be dropped off by residents only Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., and Saturdays 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
On Saturday, May 16, we will open the yard for construction debris drop off as well. Hours are 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Prior to utilizing the construction dumpsters, residents must obtain a number by calling our receptionist at 973-697-1500 early in the week, as we only allow a limited number of residents access to the construction dumpsters. Anyone bringing in construction debris must produce their driver’s license as proof of residency along with the number they received from the receptionist. Contractors are not permitted to utilize the construction dumpsters nor are they permitted to drop off brush and will not be allowed access to the yard. Residents are permitted to drop off a pick-up load full of construction debris six times per year and not more than twice in a month.
