The township has instituted a new method for residents to request certain services online. This innovation simplifies the process of obtaining assistance from the appropriate department.
The following types of service are currently available from the Department of Public Works: catch basins, trees, garbage/recycling, drainage repairs, road repairs (potholes or berms), weather issues, Jet-Vac, sweeper, street signs, and general requests. Additional categories are anticipated in the near future.
From the township’s homepage (www.jeffersontownship.net), select Online Services from the horizontal green bar and then Service Request Form from the drop-down menu. Residents must supply their name, address, phone, and email along with selecting the type of service required.
Users may include a message explaining the issue, and are advised to be as specific as possible. The simple form then provides notification directly to the appropriate township department of problems or the need for assistance. Routing to the proper office and generation of a tracking number are automatic, based on the type of service selected. Users also have the option to request contact from the department.
The online form is intended for non-emergency requests only. For emergencies, call 911. For immediate response, contact the police at 973-697-1300.
