Helmstetter, Malloy to Share Ideas for Improved Township; Sherrill Surrogate to Also Attend

It may have been a long time coming, but Jefferson Township this year has Democratic candidates for both open seats on the local municipal council.

The candidates – Doug Helmstetter and Dan Malloy – will be at the township’s Democratic Committee meeting next week on Thursday, May 24, and residents are invited to meet them. They will share their ideas for improving the township.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at 41 Paderewski Road, Oak Ridge. Light refreshments will be served.

In addition to Helmstetter and Malloy, the campaign manager for Mikie Sherrill, Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress 11th District, will be a guest speaker.
