On an unseasonably warm February 20, members of the Lakeland Seniors made their annual pilgrimage to Camp Jefferson for a beefsteak lunch prepared and served by volunteers, including past and present township officials.
Chief chef of the luncheon was former Mayor Russell Felter, joined by members of the Seniors as sou chefs and and clean-up helpers.
Mayor Eric Wilsusen, Township Administrator Debra Millikin and Police Captain Paul Castimore served the seniors the beefsteak, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and salad. Dessert was cheesecake. Recreation Director Grace Rhinesmith and officers of the seniors also ran a 50/50.
