South Street Station will perform a free show on Friday evening, August 3. The concert starts at 7 p.m. at the beautiful Victorian gazebo in the Jefferson Township municipal complex (1033 Weldon Road).
South Street Station is a country-rock band from the New York tri-state area featuring Mark Rohsler, Caitlin Burke Maloney, Steve Lavner, Dan DiPaola, Dennis Azcuy, and soloist Donna Coney Island. They enjoy combining different styles of music including a mix of pop hits, rhythm and blues, rock, and a dash of country. These seasoned veterans in the music industry have played at many nearby venues, such as the Mason Jar in Mahwah and Pavinci’s Italian Grill in Hopatcong. For more information on the band, visit www.facebook.com/SouthStreetStation.
Attendees are asked to bring a blanket or chair for their comfort. Non-alcoholic beverages, picnic dinners, and snacks are permitted unless the concert is moved indoors to the air-conditioned high school auditorium (across the road) due to weather conditions. For information and updates, call 973-697-2032 or 697-3828 or visit www.jeffersonarts.org or www.jeffersontownship.net.
Dancing and singing along are encouraged at the summer concerts, which are sponsored by the Jefferson Arts Committee. Free-will donations are gratefully accepted.
Additional free concerts will be held at the gazebo as follows: August 10 (Country Comfort), August 17 (Rave On), and August 24 (Tequila Rose). Free parking is available at the municipal complex, with overflow parking by the Creative Playground and across the street at the Board of Education’s bus compound.
