Three Exhibits to Run During April and May
During the months of April and May, the Art and Design Gallery at County College of Morris (CCM) will showcase three student exhibits: the Art Club Spring Exhibition, the Photography Program’s thesis exhibit, and CCM’s “Best of the Best” Student Exhibition.
The Art Club show, featuring the work of all CCM students who wished to participate, runs through April 13. Four prizes will be awarded: Best in Show, Award of Merit, Honorable Mention, and the 2018 Scholarship Gala Purchase Award. For the gala award, the student’s artwork will be purchased by the Art Club and donated to the CCM Foundation for it 2018 Gala, which raises money for scholarships and other programs at the college. The donation will be used for the Tony Lordi Scholarship Fund. A reception, free and open to the public, will be held on Thursday, April 12, from 5-7 p.m.
The Photography Program’s thesis show, “Shower Thoughts,” takes place April 16-27. Under the guidance of Professor Hrvoje Slovenc, the exhibition consists of student work specifically created for the show. A reception, free and open to the public, will be held on Friday, April 27, from 5-7 p.m.
