The Jefferson Township High School Chorus is collecting used clothing and other items. The donations will be used to support people in need of wearable used clothing via micro-enterprise programs around the globe. If donations are not suitable for re-use, they will be recycled.
The following items may be placed in well-tied trash bags for donation:
Clothing and Shoes: all types and styles of used, wearable clothing, sneakers, and shoes for men, women, and children
Accessories: purses, backpacks, briefcases, belts, hats, gloves, undergarments, socks, scarves, ties, baby accessories
Household items: blankets, sheets, pillow, bedspreads, quilts, comforters, towels, tablecloths, drapery/curtains, bath rugs, fabric kitchen and bath accessories
Toys: stuffed animals, cars, airplanes, playsets, blocks, etc.
The following items will not be accepted: books, CDs, VHS tapes, kitchen appliances, outdoor toys, furniture.
Bags of donations can be delivered to the high school parking lot (1010 Weldon Road, Oak Ridge) on Sunday, October 28, from 1-3 p.m. To make alternate arrangements, contact Nicole Hunt at 973-464-5340.
The chorus is working with Clothing Drive Fundraiser (www.clothingdrivefundraiser.com) and will receive funding based on the total weight of collected items.
