Jefferson Township High School student Emily Carcich has been named by NJ.com as one of the top girls volleyball freshmen in the state. Supporters are encouraged to vote for her as an athlete who “has performed the best so far.”
According to the website, more than 100 freshmen have seen time on the court for their respective teams thus far in 2018. Some play for a few rotations and others serve an integral role on their squads. NJ.com is preparing a five-part series on the top performers, and invites supporters to vote for their candidates.
The students’ names came from personal submissions as well as from NJ.com’s research into the stat files, conversations with coaches, and notes from matches. Voters may click on a name as often as they wish through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, October 8.
