On Saturday afternoon, August 10 at Lake Hopatcong, riders in seven divisions competed for trophies, prizes, swag and bragging rights at the 12th Annual Wakeoff.

The Wakeoff had riders come together from all over the Northeast. The divisions ranged from children to veterans and Outlaws, were based on ability and included riders of varying ages and genders.

Each rider got one run with two passes to show their talents. Riders were judged on tricks, difficulty, and style.

Spectators lined the beach at Lake Forest Yacht Club and also were on boats to cheer on the riders. Vendors sold t-shirts, sun glasses, and wakeboarding gear. The tow boat was provided by Lake Hopatcong Marine, one of the event sponsors. Jefferson Township Fire Company 2 was on site cooking hot dogs, hamburgers, and wings.
