1/27/19, Warrant/CDS Arrest (PO Johnson): The officer observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Route 15 South. The driver, identified as Gerard Luoni, 48, of Sussex, had an active warrant out of Pennsylvania with extradition. During the arrest, he was found in possession of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia. He was issued a complaint summons and transported to Morris County Correctional Facility for lodging until Pennsylvania could respond to take custody on the warrant.

1/28/19, Warrant Arrest (PO LaMantia): The Riverdale Police Department picked up Anthony Campana on a Jefferson warrant in the amount of $750. He was unable to post and was transported to Morris County Correctional Facility.

2/3/19, MV Stop/DWI (PO Ondish): While responding to another call, the officer observed Stephen Froitzheim, of Lake Hopatcong, towing a trailer that came loose from his vehicle. Further investigation and field sobriety testing resulted in his arrest for driving while impaired. He was released to his mother.

2/9/19, DWI (PO Ondish): The officer observed Scott Akos, 39, of Oak Ridge, unable to maintain his lane on Berkshire Valley Road. After failing field sobriety tests, he was placed under arrest for driving while impaired and transported to police headquarters, where he was processed. He was issued a motor vehicle summons and released pending a court date.

2/10/19, CDS possession (Sgt. Gjelsvik/PO Saparito): The sergeant initiated a motor vehicle stop on Beaver Point Trail after observing a vehicle near Stanlick School with two brake lights not operating. A strong odor of burnt and raw marijuana emanated from the vehicle driven by Sara Stern, 22, of Mount Arlington. The officer arrived and observed a glass pipe with burnt residue on the passenger side floor. Stern admitted to being in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and turned over an empty pill container of marijuana. She was transported to police headquarters, processed, charged, and released.

2/12/19, MV Stop/CDS (PO LaMantia): The officer stopped a vehicle on Route 15 North for an equipment violation. An odor of marijuana was detected from the interior of the vehicle driven by Kyle Rodin, 20, of Greentown, Pennsylvania. A small amount of raw marijuana was found inside the vehicle. The driver was placed under arrest, processed, and released on a summons.

2/12/19, MVA/DWI (PO Johnson): Theresa Foley, 70, of Lake Hopatcong crashed her vehicle on Brady Road. Investigation revealed an odor of alcoholic beverages on her breath, slurred speech, and exhibited signs of intoxication. She was placed under arrest, processed, issued a motor vehicle summons, and released pending a court date.

2/13/19, Warrant Arrest (PO Paskas): Mark Sepe, 58, of Lake Hopatcong was arrested after a $750 warrant from Jefferson Township Municipal Court was found. He was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters and then court. Judge Fico remanded him to Morris County Correctional Facility.

2/15/19, MV Stop/CDS (PO Stokes/PO LaMantia): Jaime Delaney, 21, of Sparta was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin) following a traffic stop for speeding on Route 15 South. She was arrested, processed, issued a summons, and released on a summons pending a court date.

2/15/19, MVA/DWI Arrest (PO Ondish): Amanda Sherman, 39, of Summit crashed her vehicle on Route 15 North by Mountain Tire and Auto. The officer’s investigation revealed that she was under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested for driving while impaired, processed, issued several motor vehicle summonses, and released pending a court date.

2/16/19, Bar Fight/Aggravated Assault/MV Crash/Arrests (PO Ondish, PO McCarthy, Cpl. Glazewski): Ryan McCabe, 24, of Franklin and Geidi Munoz-Gonzales, 26, of Stockholm were arrested for aggravated assault due to their involvement in an altercation with two victims at the Daily Planet bar in Oak Ridge. McCabe struck a victim in the forehead with a beer bottle, causing a laceration. Munoz-Gonzales had a knife and threatened to kill the victims, who attempted to flee in a vehicle. The officers immediately followed, ramming their vehicle into the rear of victims’ vehicle at the intersection of Roosevelt and Holland Mountain Road and then again at Holland Mountain and Ridge Road. McCabe and Munoz-Gonzales were arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, assault by auto, and several motor vehicle summonses. Both men were lodged in Morris County Correctional Facility pending a central judicial processing hearing. The victims were treated for their injuries.

2/19/19, CDS Arrest (Det. Sgt. Krater): After a lengthy investigation for distribution of heroin, the Jefferson Township Police Department arrested Francisco Donato, 34, of Lake Hopatcong while he was driving on Route 15 North. During the motor vehicle stop, a large quantity of heroin was found in his possession. He was charged with distribution of heroin, intent to distribute heroin, and possession of heroin. He was remanded to Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court date.
