The Jefferson Chronicle is Jefferson Township’s only dedicated news and local features platform, with coverage spanning the Oak Ridge to Lake Hopatcong sections of our great community. Our writers, columnists, and editors are here to serve you, our community, in providing high-quality local news, sports, lifestyle, and event reporting.
We are not a social media platform. We are a news-oriented platform that is regularly updated, often with breaking news about our township.
When Aim Jefferson ceased publishing in November 2016, residents, businesses, and the community-at-large were left without direct coverage of local news, government, schools, community events, sports, and other topics of interest. Businesses and service providers were left without a dedicated resource to market their companies to residents.
The void was short-lived. Immediately following the demise of Aim, local resident and entrepreneur Kevin L. Pattky, Jr. founded The Jefferson Chronicle and is currently serving as president and editor-in-chief. Within two months, he had assembled an experienced staff of writers, columnists, and editors to guide the platform toward its mission of being “from the community, for the community.” The staff and a board of advisors continue this mission, working with the community to provide for Jefferson Township residents and businesses.
